The Thank You Project: Day 4
Everyone has many people in their lives. There are coworkers, family members, friends, acquaintances. Each person plays a vital role in shaping you in some aspect. For all of my life, I have had so many people help me out and shape me into what I am today. Today’s thank you goes to my best friend who is more than that to me, she’s like a sister that I never had.
I honestly can’t remember the first time I met Nabila. It must have been during newspaper in high school or maybe some random moment (maybe you have a better memory than me Nabila). But ever since, she’s always looked out for me and through all of the college years and after she is one of the few people that consistently keeps up with me even though we both have gotten continually busier with our lives.
Though I rarely see her (my once a year trip to Texas basically), nothing ever changes between us. We can have deep philosophical discussions, pointless banter and complaints, or just talk about life. She’s consistently there to encourage all my plans and has even started helping out on this blog. I can never thank her enough for her support and she’s family to me.
So this one is to you Nabila. Thank you for being awesome and being a great best friend. Thank you.
"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival."
