The Thank You Project: Day 15 (Jason Rodulfa)

ThankYouIcon_15When I went through college and joined both AAA (Asian American Association) and FASO (Filipino American Student Organization), I met many friends that helped shape my life through college. It wasn’t just that we were all part of the same club, at times, we were all part of the same family. The next few thank you’s will be dedicated to individuals that I think helped me along that path.

This next person I want to say thank you to is probably one of the funniest but driven individuals that I have met. We’ve had many memories through different productions like Asian Allure and Fiestang but most of all just through random nights.

Jason is like my Filipino brother. There are so many memories of playing videogames and hanging out at nights. But we also shared a lot of the pains and anxieties of being in multiple dances for the clubs we were in. I think probably my favorite memory from a dance was when he was the prince for the Singkil dance. He was always up for playing ball and during our senior year we even made a bookstore basketball team that was dedicated to him (we called ourselves, Pass the Ball to Jason, and we all wore shirts that were different varieties of Jason). Another random memory I remember is going randomly to Chicago along with KC just to do it.

But what I see in him is a fun and dedicated individual. He has the passion for medicine and I know that one day he will make a great doctor. I want to thank him for being a great friend through the years. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to meet up with you in Chicago when you were recently here but I hope that the next time we’re close by, we will be able to catch up.

So this one is to you Jason, thanks for being a great friend and I hope that you continue living life while pursuing your dreams. Thank you!
