The Thank You Project: Day 17

At Notre Dame, dorm life is a really big thing. With no fraternities or sororities on campus, each dorm transforms into a sort of frat life. There are a lot of intramural sports that are played. Many of us join each other hand in hand during dorm masses late on Sunday nights.

This person I want to say thank you to was my neighbor in Dillon Hall for a number of years.

I met Kyle not too long after I moved into Dillon Hall and him, my roommate Bill and Kyle’s roommate Stephen all clicked pretty well. We hung out pretty often and I remember a lot of random afternoons that I would just hang out in his room and watch maybe tv before classes. We had a lot of talks and random meals since we were so close to the dining hall. I also remember how much he loved Topgun and I think it played at least every other month :)

But probably the best aspect of Kyle is just his ability to listen and the stories and topics that come up in conversations. He was always willing to go do different things like go with me to a Blue October concert or walk to the theater that was a fairly long walk.

I’m sorry that I haven’t kept in touch as much as I should and hopefully the next time he’s around town I can catch up with him a bit (hopefully I won’t be in India like the last time he was here). Thank you for being a good friend and for all the good conversations and laughs. Thank you Kyle!
